Last year I put myself back in school… the school of myself.
I was really curious.
As always about performance.
As a mental performance coach I was trained in asking questions. To know where I am in a change process of supporting a client to shifting… levelling up to their next best.
Yet…
I found that I needed to know more about how performance works… what makes it happen and how can an athlete have more of it.
To be honest… it’s cause I felt I lacked some of it a bit too.
That ability to be at my best when it matters most.
And so like I said I put myself back in school…
I read about team coaching, watched videos on performance from world leaders in my field, studied athletes, asked colleagues, explored my understandings and signed up for a course with a 6 nations rugby team mental performance coach.
What I discovered is so simple that it made me change my slogan.
Mental Performance Made Easy!
I put this to the test though… mostly cricketers… mostly batters… but you know what it works.
Especially when the athletes apply it.
One cricketer went from struggling to get past 10 to scoring 50’s and 100.
Another went from 6 weeks of no runs and struggling to back-to-back 100s instantly.
Another went from not being in his national U19 team to playing in the U19 World Cup to putting in performances that got him selected.
These are just a few of the athletes I have supported in getting their performance to flow again.
Now I have taken this information and built it into my first live presented course. It is the only way to learn these easy-to-understand principles and apply them.
